Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the rate at which lesbian, gay, and bisexual United States citizens are
victims of physical assaults due to their sexual orientation. The research consisted of 198 participants. Closed
ended surveys were provided to the participants. The question for this study was “How many times have you been
physically assaulted because of your sexual orientation”. An ordinal regression was conducted to determine the
extent to which physical assaults were related to the outcome measured.
