Tea Golja, Iva Slivar
Abstract
The focus is on organizational innovation and strategies that spur workplace innovations. The purpose is to
determine the extent to which HR strategies in terms of job design techniques can persuade innovation on a north
Mediterranean hospitality pool of selected big hoteliers. A field research has been carried out and through
interview sessions, theoretical hypotheses were discussed trying to find a pattern of HR strategies enabling
innovation. Five case studies are presented and discussed. This paper contributes to discussion of the processes
linking motivation and innovative organization and the interaction of all main processes working dynamically
together to create and maintain long-run positive organizational performance. An external job rotation model is
also proposed.
